Are you less than facile in the kitchen? Do you often work late? Are you too
tired to go out to dinner?
Fear not, my hungry friends!
Beginning in Autumn 2008, William Mauceri Catering will offer Dinners
for Friends, a weekly dinner drop-off service to gourmands in the Plainfield, NJ area.
Here is
how it works: On Sunday you will receive an email naming and describing the chef's meal of the week. If you are interested,
simply reply in the affirmative to the email by Monday at 8 pm. Doing this confirms your "reservation".
If you are not interested, do nothing, and await the following Sunday's email.
On Wednesday or Thursday
(exact day to be determined soon), a fully cooked, three-course meal will arrive at your home by 6 pm (or by arrangement).
Cancellations must be received by Tuesday noon, however, our Dinners for Friends
will come fully wrapped and ready for the refrigerator. Just re-heat and serve at your convenience on another night! What
could be easier?
Here is a sampling of dinner possibilities:
Starter: Fresh mixed green salad (salad
dressing on the side) Main: Chicken pot pie with a puff pastry crust Dessert: French apple tart

Roasted tomato soup Main: Savory bacon, onion and blue cheese "tart" on home-made rosemary flatbread Dessert:

Dinner for Friends
can be arranged for two to four people, will include suggestions for pairing wine or beer with your meal, and will include

All meals will be prepared
with the utmost care, using quality ingredients. If you or a guest has food allergies, please let us know at the time of ordering.
Price per couple, including delivery, is $45, payable in cash or by check. Starter substitutions can be arranged for
an additional $5.
Has this whetted your appetite? Good! Keep an eye out for our Dinner
for Friends emails starting in September 2008!
